The 4th International Symposium on Human Capital and the Labor Market and the Release of the China Human Capital Report 2012

We invite submission of papers following the release of our China Human Capital Report-2012. Topics dealing with the creation and uses of human capital in households including mobility, schools, and firms, the formation of skills leading to knowledge creation, innovation, and consumer and parental choice are all welcome. Abstracts (250 words or less) must be submitted no later than September 30, 2012 to Belton Fleisher at the following email address:

Subject Line CHLR Conference
Submitted papers will be evaluated by the Organizing Committee and presenters will be notified by October 30, 2012.
In order to facilitate in-depth discussion, 6-8 high papers will be selected. Each paper will be allotted 30-45 minutes for presentation in plenary sessions. There will be discussion by 1-2 discussants for each paper, plus participation by other presenters.
For paper presenters, the conference organizers will provide economy-class transportation (international or domestic) to Beijing and three nights’ lodging. All papers presented will, upon submission for publication, be considered under the normal review process for inclusion in a Symposium that will be published in a forthcoming regular issue of China Economic Review.
