欢迎熊咸芳博士加入CHLR

熊咸芳博士于20217月加入中央财经大学人力资本与劳动经济研究中心。

熊咸芳博士于湖南大学经济研究管理研究中心获得经济学博士学位,同时为美国佐治亚理工学院联合培养博士。她在秋季学期将主要教授中心硕士研究生高级微观经济学、乡村振兴课程,并指导人力资本指数项目团队。

其主要研究方向包括人力资本度量、劳动经济学、发展经济学及应用计量经济学,研究成果发表于Children and Youth Services Review、计量经济学报,另有合著”Human Capital of Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, 1997-2018”收录于《Measuring Human Capital》,该书由Elsevier出版社出版发行。

目前的研究主要聚焦于两方面。一是基于人力资本的深层内涵,从人力资本加总角度研究不同技能层次劳动力人力资本相互作用对于人力资本度量有效性、科学性的影响,构建广义人资本度量指标,并在此基础上分析人力资本度量指标对于经济发展量化研究的影响。二是从微观层面研究少儿人力资本发展问题,着重探讨家庭教养对于少儿认知能力、非认知能力形成的影响及其作用机制。

中国人力资本与劳动经济研究中心(CHLR)隶属于中央财经大学经济学与公共政策优势学科创新平台,成立于20083月,是一个以研究中国人力资本、劳动力市场及其与经济发展关系为主要研究方向的院级研究中心;中心的教学科研成员全部为北美知名高校的终身教授或者拥有北美或欧洲知名高校经济学博士学位的海归学者。中心招收博士后、博士和硕士研究生。中心拥有科学完备的博士及硕士研究生培养方案,其课程体系和课程设置与美国研究类高校一致,采用全英文授课及国际化人才培养方式。

Dr. Xianfang Xiong joined CHLR in July, 2021.

She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Economics from Center for Economics, Finance and Management Studies, Hunan University, and she also had Ph.D. joint-training in Georgia Institute of Technology. She will teach courses including master-level advanced microeconomics and village revitalization in the fall semester and instruct the human capital index project.

Her research interests mainly include human capital measurement, Labor economics, Development economics and Applied econometrics. She has published peer-reviewed papers on Children and Youth Services Review and China Journal of Econometrics, and also published the chapter “Human Capital of Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, 1997-2018”in “Measuring Human Capital”, Elsevier.

Her ongoing work mainly focuses on the measurement of aggregate human capital and individual’s human capital development in the childhood. Firstly, she constructs a new aggregate human capital index to reflect the in-depth human capital content due to the skill substitution and further analyzes how the measurement affects the contribution of human capital to the regional economic development gap in China. Secondly, she studies the impact of parenting on the child’s development of cognitive ability and noncognitive ability and the potential mechanism behind with empirical analysis.

China Centre for Human Capital and Labor Market Research (CHLR) is subordinate to the "innovation platform for advantageous disciplines of economics and public policy" of the Central University of Finance and economics. Founded in March 2008, CHLR is an institute level research center focusing on the study of China's human capital, labor market and its relationship with economic development; All the teaching and scientific research members of the center are lifelong professors from well-known universities in North America or overseas returnees with doctorates in economics from well-known universities in North America or Europe. The Center recruits postdoctoral, doctoral and master's students. The center has a scientific and complete doctoral and master training program. Its curriculum system and curriculum are consistent with those of American research universities. It adopts all English teaching and international talent training methods.
