The Center for Human Capital and Labor Market Research (CHLR), Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE), Beijing-China, is seeking to hire, subject to budgetary approval, two to three full-time faculty at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. The positions begin in Fall 2019 or sooner. Candidates in the fields of Labor, Development, and Health will be considered. Preference will be given to those working on human capital related topics. Candidates should demonstrate promise of outstanding scholarship and teaching ability, and must have or expect to have a Ph.D. in Economics by August 2019. Compensation is competitive and includes research fund and housing subsidy. Established in 2008, the CHLR is an international research center for the study of human capital, labor markets, and their impacts. All faculty and research fellows at the CHLR hold a Ph.D. degree in economics from major universities in North America and Europe, and all special-term professors are tenured professors from major U.S. universities. The CHLR has master, doctoral and post-doctoral programs. The Center’s graduate programs are internationally oriented. The curriculum is designed following the pattern of research universities in North America, and all courses are taught in English. CHLR publishes the influential annual China Human Capital Report and hosts an annual international conference on human capital.
