Recently,
the Department of Management Sciences of National Natural Science Foundation of
China (NSFC) is formulating economic management science 13th Five-Year Plan in
accordance with the general requirements of NSFC. The Foundation has
commissioned Professor Haizheng Li of China Center for Human Capital and Labor
Market Research (CHLR) at Central University of Finance and Economics and
Professor Wei Yuan of Renmin University of China to co-chair the research
project, in charge of making economic science 13th Five-Year strategic
plan.
This project aims at conducting research on discipline layouts and
development strategies, as well as research priorities and key funding
directions of economic sciences, forming a well-organized research report.
Professor Li mainly focuses on international practices and experiences, while
Professor Yuan mainly conducts research based on the actual situation in China.
They will work together to make the economic science 13th Five-Year strategic
plan which not only is in line with the international forefront of the
development of economic science but also adapts to the realities of
China.
According to the overall schedule, NSFC has organized two expert
panels on July 1st and 8th in Beijing to get comments and suggestions. Panel
participants include renowned experts in the field of economics and deans of
schools of economics from major universities. Meanwhile, Professor Yuan has
already organized an expert symposium at Renmin University of China. Professor
Li is also planning an expert forum at Central University of Finance and
Economics in fall 2014. The project team will broadly collect opinions and
suggestions before making economic science 13th Five-Year
Plan.
