CHLR Special-term Professor Barbara M. Fraumeni Named 2025 Distinguished Fellow of the American Economic Association

We are delighted to share that our Special-Term Professor Barbara M. Fraumeni has been honored as one of four new Distinguished Fellows of the American Economic Association (AEA) for 2025.


This is a great honor and a well-deserved recognition of her contributions.


Since 2019, Prof. Barbara M. Fraumeni has been contributing to the CHLR Human Capital Project as a Special-Term Professor, offering annual guidance, participating in the release of the China Human Capital Report, and delivering the annual Topics on Human Capital course for the project team, playing a key role in advancing the initiatives goals.


The Award of Distinguished Fellow was instituted in 1965. Past Presidents of the Association and Walker Medalists shall be Distinguished Fellows. Additional Distinguished Fellows may be elected, but not more than four in any one calendar year from economists of high distinction in the United States and Canada.
