At the very start of 2013, the CHLR recruiting committee interviewed18
candidates from 121 applicants for the position of full-time assistant
professor, at the 2013 AEA meeting at San Diego. Eventually, committee members
reached unanimous agreement on hiring Dr. Xia Fang from Michigan State
University and Dr. Fanzheng Yang from Iowa State University. Dr. Xia studies
economic issues in Development Economics, Agricultural Economics and Applied
Econometrics. Dr. Yang espeically concentrate on Experimental Economics and
Labor Economics. Both of researchers have accepted to join CHLR and will start
to teach as full-time assistant professors in Sep. 2013.
